Wired Dog Fence Repair & Service in Broward & Palm Beach
Existing electronic dog fence not working correctly? Pet Stop of South Florida diagnoses and repairs wired underground pet-containment systems throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties. We locate wire breaks, troubleshoot transmitters and receiver collars, replace compatible batteries, change boundaries and reinstall existing wired systems.
We can work on boundary wire from any wired brand. Transmitter and receiver compatibility depends on the specific manufacturer, model and age, so we confirm the equipment before recommending a repair, compatible component or complete upgrade.

Common Wired Dog Fence Problems We Diagnose
Wire Break Location & Repair
Lawn equipment, landscaping, utility work, roots and storms can damage the buried boundary. We use professional locating equipment to narrow the fault area, expose only the necessary section, then splice, waterproof and test the repaired circuit.
Transmitter Problems
Alarms, loop lights, power problems and weak or inconsistent signals can originate with the boundary wire, surge protection, power supply or transmitter. We test the system before recommending replacement equipment.
Boundary Changes & Reinstallation
We can add exclusion zones, change an existing boundary, reinstall wire after construction or landscaping, and restore wired systems at a new or remodeled property. Moving house? Existing equipment can often be reinstalled at a new address — see how Whiskey and Traveler’s system moved from Boca Raton to Wellington.
Receiver Collar Troubleshooting
A receiver that will not activate may have a depleted battery, contact or charging issue, incorrect programming, damaged case or internal failure. We identify the likely cause and determine whether the receiver can be serviced, replaced compatibly or should be upgraded.
Batteries & Model-Specific Accessories
We stock Pet Stop® batteries and selected compatible accessories. The correct part depends on the exact receiver model; a product purchase is separate from an on-site diagnostic or repair appointment.
Older & Competing-Brand Systems
Some Invisible Fence®, DogWatch®, PetSafe®, Dog Guard® and Innotek® equipment can work with selected Pet Stop components, typically on older models. Compatibility is never assumed. We generally recommend keeping one coherent system rather than creating a mixed-brand configuration unless budget limitations make a compatible component the practical choice.
Need an On-Site Service Call?
Use the repair-request form when you need diagnosis, wire-break location, boundary work, transmitter or receiver testing, installation or reinstallation.
Service calls are quoted after we confirm the system, symptoms and work requested. Most appointments can usually be scheduled within 1–3 days, depending on workload and location.
Only Need a Battery or Accessory?
Product-only orders do not create a service appointment. Use the online shop for available batteries and accessories, and confirm the receiver model before ordering.
If you are unsure which part fits, call or text before purchasing. Some products require model-specific verification.
How a Repair Request Works
1. Describe the System
Tell us the brand, model if known, property location and what the transmitter or collar is doing.
2. Confirm the Scope
We determine whether you need a service visit, model-specific product or preliminary troubleshooting by phone.
3. Diagnose On Site
We test the boundary, transmitter and receiver components relevant to the reported problem.
4. Repair or Recommend
We explain the repair, compatible replacement or upgrade options before completing additional work.
Repair & Service FAQ
Do you repair physical fences?
No — we work only on electronic pet-containment equipment. That means underground boundary wire, transmitters, receiver collars and compatible components, not wood, vinyl, chain-link or other physical fencing.
Can you repair a system you didn't install?
Usually, yes. We regularly locate wire breaks and reinstall or adjust boundaries on wired systems we did not originally install. Whether a transmitter or receiver collar can be reused or serviced depends on its exact brand, model and age, which we confirm before recommending anything.
Is the service call free?
New-installation consultations are free, but repair and service visits are not. Once we understand the brand, symptoms and likely scope over the phone, we explain the service-call charge before an appointment is scheduled.
Can you add compatible parts to another brand’s system?
Sometimes. When a full upgrade is not the best fit, a compatible component can be a practical, lower-cost option. Compatibility always depends on the specific brand and model, and in most cases a single consistent system is the most reliable choice over the long term.
Do you service GPS or wireless systems?
No. We specialize in professionally installed wired underground containment and the Pet Stop® RoomWizard® indoor transmitter — not GPS collars or outdoor wireless fences.
What happens if my dog gets out?
Call us. Most of the time it’s something straightforward — the collar hasn’t been charged, a system without the optional battery backup has lost power, or the collar is being worn too loosely — and we can work that out with you over the phone. If there’s a consistent containment issue, we come back and adjust the programming, and do additional training with your dog if that’s what’s needed. That’s included, not an extra. Our Lifetime Containment Guarantee on the Link Ultra and Ecolite Pro systems means that if we cannot successfully contain your dog, we give you your money back.
